Erica Schoenberg: A Blackjack & Poker Babe

The poker industry does not only have an increasing number of female poker professionals but it also has a growing number of beautiful female poker professionals. One of these beautiful female poker professionals is Erica Schoenberg. She used to be a professional volleyball player, personal trainer and model before she ventured into gambling as a profession. She was doing well as a model, personal trainer and athlete but she realized that these were not want she wanted in life.

Born in Akron, Ohio on March 25, 1978, Erica Schoenberg is not only a female poker professional but also a female blackjack professional. Her passion for blackjack started when she was still young. As a matter of fact, when she realized that she wanted to be engaged in the gambling industry, she really thought of becoming a blackjack player. As a blackjack player, she was mentored by one of the members of the MIT Blackjack Team. She also had the opportunity to participate in the World Series of Blackjack. Her presence in the blackjack world allowed her to be nicknamed "Blackjack Babe." She did not really imagine that she would also try to venture into the poker world.

Before she knew it, Erica Schoenberg was already engaged in the poker world and she was already being called the "Poker Babe." She was first recognized by the poker public on April 24, 2006 when she qualified in the No Limit Hold'em Championship of the Five Star World Poker Classic that was conducted in conjunctin of the fourth season of the World Poker Tour. This female poker professional emerged as the 16th placer and had the chance to win US$117,165.

On June 28, 2006, Erica Schoenberg became a participant of the 37th Annual World Series of Poker tournament. This female poker professional joined such game as the Pot Limit Hold'em wherein she was able to take home US$3,008. She was the sixth ninth placer at the said event.

The last poker tournament that Erica Schoenberg joined in 2006 was the Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic that was conducted by the World Poker Tour on its fifth season. This female poker professional was one of the poker players to reach the final table of a No Limit Hold'em game. He won US$39,710, which was the cash prize for the fifth placer.

Erica Schoenberg was more active in 2007 as she participated in such events as the Wynn Classic, the World Championship of the World Poker Tour, the Mandalay Bay Poker Championships of the World Poker Tour, the 38th Annual World Series of Poker, and the Bellagio Cup III. It was at the Mandalay Bay Poker Championships held on May 26 where this female poker professional tasted real success. She won US$105,875 after being announced as the first prize winner.

The success of this female poker professional only goes to show that she is not only beautiful but talented as well.
